AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings (A&AC) is one of the world's leading suppliers of paints and services for the vehicle refinish, OEM commercial vehicles, automotive plastics and aerospace coatings markets. We create coatings for car body refinishing or recoating to bodyshops, distributors, fleet owners, automotive suppliers, and major bus and truck producers.

Our brand portfolio includes leading brands as Sikkens®, Lesonal®, Dynacoat®, Wanda®, Sikkens® Autocoat BT, Soliant® and stickerfixTM.

We have been innovators since we first began supplying lacquers to the fledgling automotive industry at the beginning of the twentieth century. We introduced fast-drying lacquers in the twenties, the first auto refinish systems in the fifties, a revolutionary, durable two-component topcoat in the sixties, mixing machines and computerized color documentation in the seventies, integrated computerzied mixing systems in the eighties, high performance waterbased and low VOC applications in the nineties, and UV-curable systems in the first decade of the 21st century, among many other ground-breaking innovations.

Operating in more than 60 countries, A&AC has specialists around the world who understand local markets and can serve local needs. We provide state-of-the-art color technology, high performance coatings, and industry-leading customer services, as well as technical and logistical support and training to customers and skilled professionals in the automotive and aerospace sectors.

We have more than 40 CRICs (Car Refinishes Instruction Centers), we have colour formulas for more than 40,000 colours, we have more than 40,000 mixing machines installed.

We employ over 5000 people and supply many of the best-known names in the automotive and aerospace business, including Volkswagen, Toyota, Fiat, GM, International, Hyundai, and Ford.
