IBIS was founded in 2001 by the team behind UK Bodyshop Magazine. The first conference brought together 120 delegates from 12 countries at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, UK. It was a straightforward idea: bring the right people together, focus on the issues that matter, and create the conditions for meaningful conversation.
That idea has not changed. What has changed is the scale.
Today, IBIS Worldwide operates a global calendar of events, with the annual Global Summit welcoming over 350 delegates from across the world. From a single gathering in Wales, IBIS has grown into one of the most respected independent platforms in the international collision repair industry.
Safety, Skills and Standards
At the heart of the IBIS agenda are three priorities that have shaped the organisation since its founding: safety, skills and standards.
These are not abstract commitments. They are the practical pillars around which every event agenda is built, and the areas where IBIS believes meaningful progress is most needed and most achievable. By keeping these priorities central to every conversation, IBIS helps ensure that industry progress is grounded in what matters most to the people operating within it.
25 Years of Trust
IBIS Worldwide has spent 25 years earning its position as a credible, independent voice in international collision repair. That reputation is built on consistency, integrity and a genuine commitment to the long-term health of the industry.
We are adaptable by design. As the industry evolves, so do our formats, our geographies and our agendas. But our values remain constant: collaborative in how we work, adaptable in how we respond, and trustworthy in everything we deliver.
